Fair Use

Last updated April 28, 2026

FreeQR Codes is built for legitimate, reasonable use by individuals, teams, and organizations. To keep the service reliable for everyone, the following are not allowed.

Not allowed

  • Spam or malicious redirects. No bulk-spam campaigns, no redirects to malware, no mass-distribution of unsolicited links.
  • Phishing or deception. No QR codes that impersonate brands, banks, or government services to steal credentials or money.
  • Illegal content. No destinations that host or facilitate illegal material, including but not limited to content that exploits minors, incites violence, or distributes copyrighted material without rights.
  • Abuse of automation. No scripted creation of accounts or QR codes at a rate that disrupts the service.

Reasonable usage limits

Even on Pro, "unlimited" assumes ordinary product use. If your traffic patterns suggest automated abuse, we may rate-limit, contact you, or suspend the account while we investigate.

Enforcement

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy. We'll usually contact you first; in urgent cases (active phishing, ongoing abuse) we may act without prior notice. If you believe an action was taken in error, email us and we'll review it.

Reporting abuse

If you encounter a QR code or short link that appears to violate this policy, please report it to hello@freeqr.codes with the short code or URL.
